Philosophy
My fondness for writing began at the age of eleven, first finding its voice in poetry—small lines trying to hold nostalgia ridden memories. Since then, writing has become both a habit and a refuge, a way of tracing personal moments until they widen into something universal. As a wise man (on Facebook) once said, “I write better than I speak, and I think better than I write,” and I have found this to be true in my own relationship with language. Much of my work grows from intimate connections and lived anecdotes: my family background, fleeting conversations, half-forgotten memories, and the ordinary details of daily life that often pass by unnoticed. I am drawn to the quiet in-between spaces—the pauses, the questions, the things we sense but struggle to formulate. Writing allows me to fill in these small gaps in my mind, to stitch thought and feeling together. Instagram: @mxhxkaa Substack: @mihikamalhotra
