Terms
These are the rules for using TwoSteps while it opens: making your page and reading The Brief. By making an account you agree to them. When paid work opens, it comes with its own terms, which we’ll show you first.
Who we are
TwoSteps is run by [Company name], KVK [KVK number], [Registered address]. Questions: team@twosteps.network.
Your account
- You need to be 16 or over.
- Give your real details, and keep them up to date.
- An account is for one person. A company account is run by people allowed to act for that company.
- Keep your password to yourself. What happens in your account is your responsibility.
Your work stays yours
Everything you put on TwoSteps stays yours. You give us permission to store it, show it on TwoSteps, and make it work there (resizing pictures, making previews and share cards). That permission is free, not exclusive, and ends when you remove the work or delete your account. When The Brief features you, it can link to your page and show some of your published work next to the piece. Anywhere outside TwoSteps, like our social media, we ask you first.
What you can post
Only post what you have the right to post, and credit the people you made it with. Don’t post anything:
- illegal, or that infringes someone else’s rights;
- hateful, threatening, harassing or discriminating;
- sexual involving anyone under 18, or sexual without the consent of everyone shown;
- pretending to be someone else, or misleading people;
- spam, or anything that harms the site (including copying it with bots).
If something breaks these rules, we can remove it, or pause or close the account, and we’ll tell you why. If you think we got it wrong, write to us. Seen something that breaks the rules? Tell us at team@twosteps.network.
The Brief
The Brief’s articles belong to TwoSteps and their writers. Quoting and sharing links is welcome, with credit; copying whole pieces isn’t.
While we open
TwoSteps opens in steps, and we’ll keep changing it. We do our best to keep it running and your work safe, but we can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors. As far as the law allows, we’re not liable for indirect loss. Nothing here takes away rights the law gives you.
Leaving
You can delete your account any time in Settings › General. See the privacy policy for what happens to your data.
Law and changes
Dutch law applies. If we can’t sort something out together, the court in Amsterdam decides, unless the law gives you the right to go to your own court. When we change these terms in a way that matters, we’ll tell you by email before it applies.
